Macmillan, bespoke fiction

For their award-winning textbook, Ready for First, Macmillan needed two pieces of fiction: a very short story and the opening of a novel. They asked me to write these pieces, which had various parameters related to linguistic structures and length – a tough call!

 

They were so pleased with the results that they have hired me to write more for the next edition.
